We are having a great day, and really enjoying the nice weather! The kids seem to be playing nice together for the most part. It's so funny to watch how they copy each other and always want to play with the toy that the other one has. I've been letting them work it out until it seems like they need my help. Chase has been going through a hitting faze, but I am hopeful that we are nearing the end. I saw him lifting his hand to hit Sophie, and I said "be nice Chase, " so he pointed to her face instead and said "eye!" We are making progress!


Sophie can play the harmonica! Seriously, she can!

For some reason they thought it was time to rest. First Chase laid down, and then Sophie copied him.


Chase was playing with these magnets, and Sophie wanted to also, so she sat right down in front of Chase (practically on his lap).


I told Chase to give her a hug, so they hugged each other, though it seems as if his hand is in the wrong place! Ha ha!


I have a very independent little buddy. He didn't want me to help him put on the shoes.


He did it all by himself! He was so proud!

Then Chase wanted to try it out too!


Since it was such a beautiful day we decided to go for a car ride around the lake! They really liked this! It was nice to get out of the house for a few minutes.

I hope every one had a nice weekend. It's time to get back into the weekly grind... luckily my weekly grind is usually fun!


I covered Sophie in all these stuffed animals...


She was in heaven! She was kissing them all!


I let the kids watch "Your Baby Can Read." I can tell they were really intrigued! They seem to be learning from it. They were saying the following words: Eyes, toes, cat, hi, wave, and baby.


Sorry Myka and Mark, I'm not sure if this is appropriate, but I thought this was one of the best poop faces I have seen in a while. She was really working hard!

This morning I was doing a little yoga while the kids were eating breakfast, and when they were done eating Sophie tried to do some yoga too!


I think she just really enjoyed sitting on the mat, because she kept bringing toys on it to play with.


We REALLY like things with buttons!


Sophie found a basket that she can use to carry toys around in. She kept putting this puppy in it!


If they were only bigger they would have loved to vacuum! They were following me around the house while I vacuumed this morning.


Chase got a hair cut last night! Now he looks just like his dad.

We have been having a great day, even though Chase seems to have caught a small cold. He sneezed about 10 times in a row during breakfast (usually right after I had just put food in his mouth), and now he seems stuffed up and a little bit fussy. One good thing is that he snuggled with me earlier for a whole 5 minutes! That never happens!


I think Sophie is getting some new teeth! She has been chewing on everything today. She put these keys in her mouth and was shaking her head and laughing.


One guess what is going on here... POOP!


She was being snugly today too! I was sitting on the floor and she would run over and practically jump on me.



I have been trying to get Chase to say "one" when I ask him how old he is, but he keeps saying "nine" instead. He learned to say this when he was at grandma and grandpa's house and was tossing a basketball through a little hoop. He made 9 in a row, and has since been saying "nine."


This is a weird little teething toy that vibrates. Sophie wasn't too sure about it at first, but then she realized that it actually felt good.


How many instruments can Sophie fit in her hands? A lot!!!


Chase was trying to say "Kota" but could only say "Koooo."


He will give his toys kisses, but he never gives kisses to people.


Play time!


Sophie would probably carry this bucket around all day if I would let her.

She got this pretty hair tie and a matching bracelet as a prize for filling up her pot with coins.

I have only been able to take a few mediocre pictures today. I'm a little disappointed, but the kiddos will not sit still!


Sophie was filling this garbage truck with different shaped blocks.


I couldn't get a picture of it, but when she would fill it up, Chase would help her out by dumping all the blocks out and spinning the wheels for a few seconds. Then he would walk away and the process would repeat.


"Hiiiyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Two phones at one time! Way to multi-task Sophie!
